Jeanerette - A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Cristie "Kitty" Foco Frioux will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:30am in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux to serve as the Celebrant. Reading from scripture will be Seri Frioux and Malorie Campbell. Interment will follow at Beau Pré Memorial Park in Jeanerette. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm. Immediately following the Rosary, those wishing to share brief memories of their time spent with "Kitty" are encouraged to do so. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 8:00am and conclude at the time of service. A native of Jeanerette and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Frioux, also known by many as "Kitty" or "Keka" passed away after a short battle with cancer on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 11:07pm at a Lafayette Hospital with her family by her side. In her younger days, "Kitty" enjoyed playing softball and basketball. Throughout her life her kindness and generosity built many relationships and she considered everyone as a friend. But no one knows of her grace more that her husband of 41 years, Courtney Frioux and their children. Mrs. Frioux held one of the most important positions in life, Homemaker. She graciously cared for her family with wholesome bliss. She lived for her family and making sure all their needs were met. She enjoyed making runs to Wal-mart, tending to her flower garden, and cooking and Mrs. Frioux was a phenomenal cook. From her Jambalaya to her Hamburger Steak, every member of her family had their favorite dish she would prepare. For every birthday or special occasion in her extending family, Mrs. Frioux would always prepare a bouquet of flowers and a cake, and she never missed a celebration with her family. Mrs. Frioux considered family to be the most important thing in life. Caring for her family was never a burden or bothersome, but rather a wonderful gift that she was most grateful for. Her kind, gentle ways and her big heart will be missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Frioux is survived by her husband, Courtney Frioux of New Iberia; father, Fritz Foco of Jeanerette; Sons, Robert Christopher Frioux and wife Shannon of Youngsville, Matthew James Frioux and wife Seri of New Iberia; Brother, Lynn Foco and wife Myra of Jeanerette; Sister, Annette Hebert and Husband C.J. of Jeanerette; Brother, Steve Foco and wife Cheryl of New Iberia; Granddaughters, Ashley Sellers of Abbeville and Raegan Elizabeth Frioux of New Iberia; Six nephews; two nieces; one great-nephew; and three great-nieces. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Elaine Britton Foco; Father-in-law, Elziard "E.J" Frioux; and her Mother-in-law, Earline Leleux Frioux. Upholding the honor of Pallbearers include Lynn Foco, Steve Foco, Phillip Foco, Jeff Foco, Kenny Foco, Scott Hebert, Grant Hebert, and Blake Foco. Honorary Pallbearers include C.J. Hebert and Thomas Campbell. Malorie Campbell, Taylor Foco, Cheryl Foco, Annette Hebert, and Myra Foco will accompany the funeral procession. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Heart of Hospice. The compassionate and caring demeanor of those who served the family has not gone unnoticed. And a special thanks also go out to Mrs. Frioux's sister Annette Hebert, and sister-in-law Myra Foco for fulfilling their promise to never leave her side during her hospital stay.
