Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dorothy Vallot, 82, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, LA with Rev. Bill Melancon as Celebrant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette beginning at 12:00PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM until 10:00PM and will resume on Wednesday September 9, 2015 at 8:00AM until just prior to service time. Entombment will follow the church service at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Youngsville, LA. Mrs. Vallot passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her residence in Lafayette, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and Friend to many and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Vallot and his wife, Jackie, Mike Vallot and his wife Cathy; daughters, Diane Vallot and her husband, David Garza, and Brenda Bowers and her husband Donald; all of Lafayette, LA grandchildren, Chad Vallot and his wife, Renee, Joey Vallot and his wife, Rebecca, Michelle Savoy, Karrie Pope and her husband, Brian, Blaine Vallot and his wife, Theresa and Ronnie Vallot, Jr. and his wife Jessica; thirteen great-grandchildren, her sibling Jean, Dean, Linda, and Jessie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Alphia Vallot Jr., her parents Enlo Melancon, and Colastie Conque; sister Irene Chaisson, and brother Jerry Conques. Pallbearers will be Tyler Vallot, Gentry Foreman, Hunter Savoy, Lane Savoy, Chase Vallot and Blake Vallot. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Vallot, Blaine Vallot, and Chad Vallot.
