Jeanerette- A Memorial Service for Brian Louis Calley, age 42 will be held on Saturday October 24, 2015 from 12:00pm until service time at 2:00pm at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost St. (276-5151) with Deacon Theo Landry to serve as the officiant. A native of Lafayette and resident of Prairieville, Brian passed away on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 7:05am at a Baton Rouge Hospice Facility. As a child Brian had a love of baseball. He always enjoyed drawing, writing, listening to country music, and swimming. When Brian was able to walk, he would never miss a Special Olympic Event. He participated in the Mile Walk, Softball Throw, Broad Jump, and Horseshoe Throw. His love of M&M's and Fruit Loops, and his smile will always be remembered. Left to cherish is memory are his parents, Clinton Calley and Deborah Breaux Calley; brothers, Glenn Culotta and wife Keri of Lafayette, Shane Calley of Prairieville; step-brother, Neil Combs; nephew, Gabriel Culotta; niece, Emily Culotta; Uncles, Christopher Calley of TX, Brent Breaux and wife Goldie of Jeanerette, and Barry Breaux of New Iberia, and many more extended family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, E.J. and Joyce Breaux; paternal grandparents, Clinton Douglas and Dorothy Calley; and one aunt, Annaise Breaux. The family would like to thank Brian's caregivers Ileana Bernard, Clovis Thomas, Barbara Smith, and Lois Guidry for all their love and care through the years.
