New IberiaFuneral services will be held for Mrs. Bertha Hebert Pesson, age 96, on Thursday, October 08, 2015 at David Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will began at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 9:00 AM until the time of service. There will be a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Pesson passed away on Monday, October 05, 2015 at 10:38 PM at Belle Tech Nursing Home. She had been a resident of Belle Tech for several years. Bertha was born on September 27, 1919 in Jeanerette, LA to Nicholas Hebert and the former Clemence Landry Hebert. Bertha married the late Albert Joseph Pesson and raised five sons. She was a stay at home mother who loved cooking, spending time with her family, nurturing all of her children especially Charlie. She is survived by her four sons; Earl P. Pesson and his wife Charlene, Charles Pesson, James Pesson and Mike Pesson and his wife Mary all of New Iberia; sister Una Mae Sinitere of Lafayette; grand children; Rodney Pesson, Julie Pesson, Chantele Pesson, Robin Pesson, Chad Pesson and Melissa Pesson, five great grand children and one great great grandchild. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Albert Joseph Pesson, her parents Nicholas N. and Clemence Landry Hebert; sisters Gertrude Barrilleaux and Ruby Moore, brothers Ardie Hebert and Septime Hebert; and her son Claude Pesson. Serving as pallbearers; Earl Pesson, Mike Pesson, Rodney Pesson, Chad Pesson and Jett Pesson.
