Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Ms. Delta Jean "Jane" Campbell Hills, 74, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Mary Magdelan Catholic Church with Fr. Louis Richard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Mrs. Hills a native of Kaplan and a resident of Abbeville died at 2:55PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was known for her enjoyment of sewing, painting, gardening, and genealogy. She is survived by a daughter, Catherine G. Barras and her husband, Doyle of Murphy, TX; a son, Mark Campbell Hills of New Orleans; two brothers, Russell Campbell of Woodbridge, VA and Larry Campbell of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Lula Sherman of Kaplan and Beverly Landry of Kaplan; and five grandchildren, Rachael Barras, Jane-Catherine Barras, Claire Barras, Ethan Barras, and Nathan Barras . She was preceded in death by her parents, William Wallace Campbell, Sr. and Olive Marie LaSalle Campbell; a brother, William Wallace Campbell, Jr.; and a sister, Vergie Campbell. Serving as pallbearers will be Bernie Touchet, Ryan Sherman, James Sherman, Grant Harrington, Justin Lewis, and Jared Palombo. David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337) 893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
