New IberiaGraveside services for Cathy Theresa Picard Hatcher, age 53, will be held on November 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Perpetual Cemetery in Franklin with family and friends celebrating the life of Cathy. Mrs. Cathy Hatcher passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 6:30 PM at Lafayette General Hospital. Cathy was born in Franklin to Rivers and Mary Dorothy Charpentier Picard on February 4, 1962. Cathy was employed as a candle wicker for over six years for the Rosary House candle division. She also loved watching her soap operas and was adamant fan of NASCAR and the WWE. Cathy is survived by her husband of 31 years Samuel E. Hatcher of New Iberia; her father; Rivers Picard of Franklin; sisters Tammy l. Mouton and her husband Glenn of New Iberia, Amanda S. Picard and husband George Luke of Franklin; brother Steve R. Picard of New Iberia; godson Joseph F. Caladrelli and his wife Summer of Coteau; goddaughters Maile R.M. Romero of Lydia, Desirea Gelken of New Iberia, Brittanie Picard of Franklin; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Hatcher Emonet and husband Rodney of Coteau, Leilani Hatcher Touchet and husband Rickey of Lydia; brother-in-law Wallace C. Hatcher Jr. and wife Mary of Marion, TX., father-in-law Wallace C. Hatcher Sr. and wife Martha of Meridan, MS; step-brother-law Jason Pharr of New Iberia and numerous nieces and nephews. Cathy is preceded in death by her mother Mary Dorothy Charpintier Picard; brother Daniel Picard; godson Carl Romero Jr.; mother-in-law Maile M.C. Shipp Hatcher and brother-in-law Arthur N. Hatcher.
