Thomas Romero

March 9, 1933 — October 13, 2015

Lafayette - Funeral services for Thomas Herman Romero, 82, will be held Thursday October 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at David Funeral Home with Father Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday October 14, 2015 from 10:00AM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00PM, and will continue Thursday from 8:00AM until time of services. Burial will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Youngsville. Mr. Romero was a native of Coteau, and a resident of Youngsville, he was a Veteran of the US Army, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a true friend to all who knew him. Mr. Romero passed away Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Camelot of Broussard surrounded by his family. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Evelyn Hebert Romero of Youngsville; three sons Keith, Hal, and Ryan Romero; and his daughter Rhonda Goodland; his grandchildren Beth Crochet, Tina Hanks, Kyle Romero, Amanda Delahoussaye , Ashley, Amber, Chance , Hollie, and Scarlet Romero; great grandchildren Jillian and Owen Crochet, Alyssa, Megan, Jessie, Samantha Romero, Suri Tran, and Eli Melancon; two brothers Harvey and Roland Romero. He is also survived by his step grandchildren Christopher and Michael Goodland, and Chris Bower. Mr. Romero was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Romero; parents Edias and Lelia Hulin Romero. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle and Johnny Romero, and Chris, Christopher, Matthew Goodland, and David Crochet.
