New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Nicholas T. "Nick" DeRouen, 39, on Friday, October 16, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lane Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A native of New Iberia and a resident of Baldwin, Nick passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at 4:35 AM at his residence. He was a crew coordinator for GIS in Galliano. He loved waking up in the morning listening to the birds chirping and was a lover of life. He is survived by his wife Hope Sanders DeRouen of Baldwin; his mother, Beverly Troney DeRouen of Franklin; his daughters, Gabrielle DeRouen of Patterson and Angela DeRouen of Baldwin; his sister, Amanda DeRouen Guillory and her husband Chad of Jena; his brothers, Jerry DeRouen, Jr. and Roy Gary, III both of New Iberia and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cleveland and Mary Mire of Abbeville. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry DeRouen, Sr. and his brother, Trent Gary. Pallbearers will be Chad Guillory, George Williams, Jerry DeRouen, Jr., Gregory Scott, Dave Bender and Terry Barnes. Honorary pallbearer will be Cleveland Mire, Yancy Sanders and Kelby Haines.
