Loreauville- A Memorial Mass will be held for Earline Rita Dugas Bonin, 81, on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux to serve as the Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at All Saint Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A native of St. Martinville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bonin passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 8:09 AM at a local hospital. Mrs. Bonin was a phenomenal cook; she made everything from scratch and never used recipes. She was best known for the wonderful cakes she would bake. Her other passion was sewing, always making something for her family members. Mrs. Bonin was a very caring woman and always took care of the sick. She was a Devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory is her Husband of 63 years- Alton Bonin of New Iberia, LA, two Daughters- Debra B. Oubre and husband Ed of Loreauville, LA, and Gail B. Dupuis and husband Gerald of St. Martinville; nine Grandchildren- Travis M. Guidry of Hawaii, Dr. Chad M. Guidry and wife Heather of Prattville, AL, Brandi M. Shiner of Loreauville, Keisha Oubre of Loreauville, Carri Oubre of Shreveport, Taylor Oubre of Lafayette, Heidi Foti and husband Jake of Parks, Glynn Dupuis of St. Martinville,Brennan Oubre and his wife Bojana of Houston, TX; four Brothers- Huey J. Dugas and wife Hope of St. Martinville, L.J. Dugas and wife Janie of St. Martinville, Bobby J. Dugas of St. Martinville, Ned P. Dugas and wife Sue of Broussard, four Sisters- Terry Dupuis and husband Butch of St. Martinville, Vickie Duplechain and husband Shenny of St. Martinville, Louella Blanchard and husband Durphy of Catahoula, Joy Thibodeaux and husband Chickley of St. Martinville; and 9 Great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her Father - James Dugas, Sr.; Mother - Lou Ella Trahan Dugas, and two Brothers - James J. Dugas, Jr., and Ward J. Dugas, Sr. The family would like to thank Iberia Medical Center and nurses Shinell and Krizel for all of their care and compassion given to their mother.
