James Carlos Daigle

Lafayette - Funeral services for James Carlos Daigle, 68, will be held Friday October 30, 2015 at 1:00PM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, with Father Steve LeBlanc officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held Friday October 30, 2015 from 10:00AM until time of service at David Funeral Home of Lafayette. Carlos was a native of Church Point and a resident of Youngsville; he passed away Tuesday October 27, 2015 at his residence in Youngsville. At the age of 50, Carlos's love for painting began when he picked up a paint brush for the first time. He also loved gardening, cooking, hunting and fishing, but most importantly spending time with his family and friends. Carlos is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary (Carriere) Daigle, his daughter Tara and her husband Scott Dohmann; two sons Chad and his wife Sarah Daigle, and Brandon and his wife Angela Daigle; grandchildren Christine Daigle, Gavin Dohmann, Ezra Dohmann, Elias Daigle, and Griffin Daigle. Carlos is also survived by his two sisters, Brenda and her husband Kenney Briggs, and Phyllis and her husband Calvin Castille; his brother Todd and his wife Ann Daigle; and his sister in law Becky Daigle. He was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Daigle, and his parents Pierre V. and Hilda (Sonnier) Daigle. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Daigle, Brandon Daigle, Scott Dohmann, Huey Daigle, Jack Higginbotham, and Peter Briggs; honorary pallbearers will be Todd Daigle, and Andrew Edwards. In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to St. Pius School - Arts program 205 E. Bayou Pkwy Lafayette La. 70508 or DesOrmeaux Foundation 1331 Jefferson St. Lafayette La. 70501.
