Loreauville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Faye Broussard Tauzin, 79, on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Reading from scripture will be Monique Vice and her godchild, Monica Delahoussaye. Gift bearers will be Alix Eldridge, Elizabeth Tauzin, and Chloe Tauzin. Visitation will begin on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Tauzin passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 9:30PM at a local hospital. Faye Broussard Tauzin was born October 12, 1936. She went to high school in Loreauville and graduated in 1955. She attended Southwest Louisiana University. She worked for Cleco and then helped run the families Café in Loreauville called Masso's. She was a devoted wife, mother and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a strong woman of faith, a legacy; she leaves her family to continue. Her love and compassion reached out to all her family, friends, and neighbors. Faye was a faithful servant and wanted nothing more than to create peace she found in God with her family and friends. A generous spirit and cheerfulness, she enjoyed sharing with all was evident in the way she lived, played, and danced. She had a smile for everyone and her goodwill was given to all. Faye was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and member of the Catholic Daughters, a Church Lector, and a Eucharistic Minister and served on the Church Council. She also dedicated her time to reciting the rosary at funerals for all of Loreauville's departed. She enjoyed reading, dancing, and playing pokeno with her friends. One of her favorite things throughout her life was spending time with her cousins. They enjoyed taking road trips and getting together to reminisce about all the good times and create new ones. Faye is survived by daughters, Mitzi Tauzin Eldridge and companion Erne Plessala Jr. of Loreauville, Yvette Tauzin Broussard and husband Rod of Broussard, Michelle Tauzin of Loreauville; son, Curt Tauzin of Loreauville; grandchildren, Brant and Alix Eldridge, Tristin, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Chloe Tauzin, and Larson Fremin; great-grandchildren, Bralyn and Talon Eldridge, Alyce Reed, Jeanne Avery Broussard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Alvin "Te-Al" Tauzin; and parents, Marcel Broussard and Nadge Breaux Broussard. Upholding the honor of Pallbearers are Brant Eldridge, Tristin Tauzin, Benjamin Tauzin, Larson Fremin, Rod Broussard, Erne Plessala, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Tauzin, Troy Tauzin, Todd Tauzin, Thomas Broussard, Andrew "T-Pee" Bonin, Kent Bonin, Lon Bonin. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Tammy Barnett, Melinda Latiolais, and Shawn Belevins for the care given to Mrs. Tauzin during her illness.
