Lavonn Schexnider Harrington

Abbeville - Funeral Services for Mrs. Eugene J. Harrington, Sr. the former Lavonn Jane Schexnider, 70, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, November 9, 2015 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be at held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. A native and lifelong resident of Abbeville Mrs. Harrington died at 10:45PM on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at her residence. She is a former member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Lavonn was a family person, a giver not a taker who opened her home to numerous foster children. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Eugene Joseph Harrington, Sr. of Abbeville; a son, Clint Pierre Harrington and his wife Jennifer of Abbeville; a foster son, Kevin Ardoin of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Cassandra Broussard, Oliva Harrington, and Logan Harrington; and numerous foster children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Jeanne Abshire Schexnider; and a son, Eugene J.Harrington, Jr.. Serving as pallbearers will be member of her family.
