Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mary Mavis Durr Broussard, 93, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Greg Cormier officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. A native of Esther and a resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Broussard died at 5:25AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at a Lafayette Hospital. Mrs. Mae was known for her willingness to help out as a caregiver to her family. She was also retired from Riviana Foods. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilfred Hebert; her second husband; Ocey Broussard; her parents, Ivy and Lezima Guidry Durr; three brothers, Raywood J. Durr, Raymond J. Durr, and Floyd J. Durr; and two sisters, Lois Guidry and Gloria D. Hebert. Serving as pallbearers will be members of her family.
