Roy Joseph Johnson

Interment will follow at Broussard Family Cemetery in Maurice. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.
A native of Cheneyville, LA and a resident Bunkie, LA Mr. Johnson died at 5:01AM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Bayou Vista Community Care Center in Bunkie. He was a long time resident of Erath and was employed by the Vermilion Parish Police Juror. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three sons, David Johnson, Scott Johnson, and Brent Peter Johnson; four daughters, Mary Veillon, Linda McGee, Louise Vidrine, and Brenda J. Millet; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Unice Ducote Jeansonne; his first wife, Joyce Fontenot Johnson; second wife, Audrey LeBlanc Johnson; his companion, Benite Vincent; and a daughter, Judy Johnson.
Serving as pallbearers will be member of his family and friends.
David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
