Gloriana Marie Levasseur

August 17, 1929 — November 24, 2015

New Iberia – Mrs. Gloriana Marie Delcambre Levasseur, 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at 8:55 AM at her residence.

She served in the U. S. Marine Corps and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

She was a retired Legal Secretary and loved Cajun food and dancing. Her favorite color was Red. Farewell to the Lady in Red, we love you, we will miss you and will never forget you.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Carpentier and her husband Christopher of Adelanto, CA, Michael Levasseur and his wife Nuhad of Brentwood, CA, Christopher Levasseur and his wife Gladys of New Iberia and Tiernan Levasseur and his wife Janice of Menifee, CA; her grandchildren, Adam, Christy, Jason, Justin, Hillary, Marissa, Hollie, Jessica, Maria, Ashley, Tanner and Alyissa and her great grandchildren, Faith, Lilly, Cash, Amelia, Mallory, Rayley, Emma, Lathen, Hayley, Hunter, Iris and Ethan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lucien Levasseur; her father, Euclide Delcambre; her mother, Elmira Landry Delcambre; her sister, Henrietta Viator and her brothers, Edmond and James Delcambre.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for the health care and nurse Judith for their loving care, attention and support.
