Barbara Richard Eldridge
June 7, 1936 — November 26, 2015
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Loreauville on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
Mrs. Eldridge passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 12:45 PM at Belle Tech Nursing where she had been a resident for the past several months.
Barbara was born in Iberia Parish on June 7, 1936 to Hubert and Lilly Mae Bourque Richard. Barbara worked for many years Iberia Parish Sugar Mill until the closing of the company.
Barbara loved spending time with her family cooking and eating her great food. She especially loved being with all her grandchildren, great grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Eldridge Morgan and husband David of St. Martinville; son Troy Eldridge and wife Edith of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren Ryan Judice and wife Christy of Lafayette, Keenan Morgan of St. Martinville, Skylar Soirez and wife Tabby of Charenton, Troy Eldridge, Jr and wife Ashley of New Iberia, Toree Eldridge of Lafayette, Jon-Garritt Eldridge of Breaux Bridge and Raven Eldridge of Breaux Bridge; great grandchildren Trace Eldridge, Tylan Eldridge, Thomas Eldridge, Noah Eldridge, Cain Roy and two up and coming additions to the Eldridge’s family; God-children, Spain Edler and Holly Comb; brother Arthur Richard wife Rachelle of Port Arthur, TX and sister Beck Edler and husband Timothy of New Iberia and two very special lifelong friends Howard and Dawn (Jo) Faucheaux.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Lilly Mae Bourque Eldridge and her brother James Richard.
