Kenneth "Kenny" Crutchfield

Jeanerette—Funeral services will be held for Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Crutchfield, age 66, on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel in Jeanerette with Rev. Arthur Alexander officiating the service. Interment will follow at Beau Pre’ Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 8:00 AM until service time.

Mr. Crutchfield passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at 5:25 PM at AMG Specialty Hospital in Lafayette. Kenny was born in Baton Rouge on August 13, 1949 to L.C. “Sonny” and Mildred Manning Crutchfield.

He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, going to the casino, but most of all he was very passionate about football. He would spend most of this time watching the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints where he would celebrate the efforts of the teams with a frosty Coors Light Beer.

Kenny retired from working in the transportation industry as a truck driver for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Crutchfield of Jeanerette; his brother, Robert Crutchfield and wife Katheryn of Jeanerette, his sisters, Barbara Spraggins and her husband William “Bill” of Broussard and Brenda Delaune and her husband Cedric of Baton Rouge; his aunt, Billie Turner of Slaughter; his sister-in-law, Debbie Bourgeois of Jeanerette; his friends, Amy Erwin of Jeanerette and Terry Loupe of Thibodeaux; his nephew, Brian Crutchfield of Lafayette; his niece, Bridget Moncada of Raceland; great-nephew Cameron Poinboeuf of Raceland and numerous special nieces and nephews and his two best and loyal friends, Neecy and Pickles.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, L.C. “Sonny” and Mildred Manning Crutchfield, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dudley and Barbara Walker Durocher.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Crutchfield, Brian Crutchfield, Cameron Poinboeuf, Lionel “Sing” Broussard, Terry Loupe and Roy Provost.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Sapienza, Larry Borel, Charles Johnson and Robert Forester.

Special thanks to Regina Verret, Josie Clements, Debbie Provost and Roy Provost, all the healthcare works who assisted Kenny. A very special thank you to Louisiana Funeral Services and Crematory and staff, the fourth floor staff at AMG Hospital for the love and support they showed to Kenny and his family during this most difficult time.

Thank you to Iberia Emergency Room Staff, Amedysis Home Health staff, Acadian Ambulance, Louisiana Medical Supplies, and Barbara’s Co-workers at IberiaBank, Dr. Gulotta; Dr. Hales,  Dr. Kitakule, Dr. Benson, Dr. Morvant, Dr. Ramirez, Dr. Kwong, and Dr. Osborne.

Kenny will forever be remembered as husband, uncle, brother and friend.
