Oscar Comb, Jr.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 11:30 AM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
A native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of St. Martinville and a former resident of Loreauville, Mr. Comb passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2015, at 5:31 AM in a St. Martinville nursing facility.
He was a Welder by trade and worked for Breaux’s Bay Craft and was a self-employed contract welder. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4676 and a Lay Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville. He was a LSU football and baseball fan and spent many Saturdays in Tiger Stadium as well as traveled to Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series.
He is survived by his wife Shellie Crochet Comb of Loreauville; his sons, Eric Comb, Craig Comb and his wife Missy, Aaron Comb all of Loreauville and Neal Comb of New Iberia; his daughters, Penny Comb Barnes and her husband Billy of Anna, TX, Vicky Comb Rodriguez and her husband Michael “Mario” of St. Martinville, Holly Comb of Loreauville and Amy Comb Bergeron and her husband Jude of Catahoula; his sisters, Lula Mae Hebert, Jeanette Comb both of Gonzales and Nell Lasseigne and her husband Eugene of Loreauville; his brother, Lionel Comb and his wife Jean of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Krislyn Blanchard, Ashley Comb, Spencer Comb, Logan Comb, Mason Barnes, Breigh Rodriguez, Brooke Barnes and Madison Comb; his great grandchild, Gabriella Comb and his honorary grandchildren, Tawana Witherspoon, Hali Vaughn and Mica Hebert; and four godchildren, Nathan and Chantel Crochet, Jared Lorraine and Earline Borel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Comb, Sr. and Lelia Thibodeaux Comb; his sister, Adeline Doucet; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rene and Mae Richard Crochet.
Pallbearers will be Eric, Craig, Neal and Aaron Comb, Mario Rodriguez and Billy Barnes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scottie Champagne, Leslie Boutte and Jude Bergeron.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice Compassus, Twana Witherspoon, Belinda Alexander, Sarah Williams, Sara Jean Breaux and Ms. Rita Benjamin.
