Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mr. Leewood “Moo-Noo” Domingue, 86, at 3:00PM on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Fr. Bill Melancon as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 7:00AM until the time of services with a recitation of the Rosary at 10:00AM.
A native and lifelong resident of Erath, Leewood died peacefully surrounded by his family at 8:20PM on December 7, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Leewood was owner of a local business in Erath for over four decades. He established City Bar which later became Moo-Noo’s. Many generations of the Erath community were known to frequent his establishment not only in the morning for coffee but throughout the day for hot topics such as sports and community events. Moo-Noo’s was famous for their delicious hotdogs, hamburgers and good conversation.
Moo-Noo was married to Mrs Eula B. Domingue of Erath for 63 years. He is also survived by his son Tommy Domingue and his wife Tammie, his daughter Cathy Landry and her husband Timmy both of Erath; his grandchildren Jacob Domingue, Hali Reaux, Nicholas Landry, Christen Landry, Chloe Landry all of Erath and Canen Ryder of Maurice; great grandchildren are Alissa Reaux of Erath, Kaitlyn Ryder, Payton Ryder, and Hadley Ryder all of Maurice.
He was preceded in death by his parents Phelicier and Evia Goutierrez Domingue; his brothers Willie, Ledier, Edier, Dudley, Edward, and J.C.; and sisters Eunice Mouton, Edith Delahoussaye.
Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Domingue, Nicholas Landry, Timmy Landry, Danny Baudoin, Canen Ryder, Larry Domingue.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Domingue and Mike Couvillion.
