Allison Rae Broussard

Lafayette - On April 14, 2006 the world was changed forever because Allison Rae Broussard was welcomed into the world by her parents, Abigail “Abbey” Veazey Broussard and Randle “Buddy” Broussard. Allie brightened any room she walked into with her vibrant attitude and gigantic smile.

For the past nine years, Allie accepted challenges and was never afraid of failure. She was an avid reader with a deep love for the arts. Performing was her passion in both music and acting. Her creative spirit and loving nature will never be forgotten. Allie was a bright fourth grade student who was part of the gifted program and French Immersion program at Prairie Elementary. She was a member of the 4-H Club and enjoyed her electives which included chorus and music where she was learning to play the recorder. She also participated in a few local acting productions and was a member of the CYT youth drama program in Lafayette, LA. Allie always wanted to help everyone before helping herself. She was fearless and always up for trying new sports and adventures.

Allie’s resilient spirit was loved by her family, friends, teachers, fellow classmates and everyone she had a chance to meet along her path. On Monday, December 21, 2015, following a traffic accident in Texas, Allie was called to follow the path God laid for her.

Including her parents, Allie is survived by her younger brother, Everett Jason Broussard of Broussard, LA; maternal grandparents Mona and Geoffrey Hebert, and Christopher and Paula Veazey, all of Pecan Island, LA; maternal great grandparents Dainty and Gordon Bourque, and Wade and Joann Vincent, of Kaplan, LA; paternal grandparents Randy Keith Broussard of Youngsville, LA and Jenny Vice Broussard of Moriarty, NM; and paternal great grandparent Raymond Perot of Lafayette, LA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, LA for Allison Rae Broussard, with Father Keith Landry officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Rosary will be conducted in both French and English at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Monday, December 28, 2015 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
