A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM and a rosary will be prayed at
10:00 AM.
A native of Jefferson Island and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bourque passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 8:13 AM at his residence.
He was a self-employed plumber and owned and operated Bourque’s Plumbing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12997, the Ancient Order of Creole Gourmet and was a Sacristan at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church. He liked to dance, watch cowboy shows, listening to French music, fishing and RVing, traveling to many countries.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Gaspard Bourque of New Iberia; his children, Judy B. Gromer and her husband Don, Mark Bourque, Barry Bourque all of New Iberia and Jill Reid and her husband Ronnie of Temple, TX; his siblings, Bernice B. Romero, Patricia B. Bonin both of New Iberia, Larry Bourque and his wife Lily of Georgia, Ronald Bourque and his wife Donna of Kentucky, Bradley Bourque and Cheryl Bourque and her husband Albert all of Broussard; his grandchildren, Mindy G. Bernard and her husband Matt of Lafayette, Lindsay G. Allain and her husband James “Beau” of Mandeville, Nicole B. Gaspard and her husband Edvard, Chanda Bourque and her companion Brandi Wilson, Brock Bourque and his companion Shantelle Millermin all of New Iberia, Ryan Bourque and his wife Charlene of Lafayette, Brittany Bourque of New Iberia, Tiffany Moore and her husband Hugh of Temple, TX and Glen Hanks, II of Dickinson, TX; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Bernard, Abigail Allain, Addison Allain, Emily Prazak and her husband Jared, Erica Pemberton and her husband Scott, Cole Forrester, Braslyn Bourque, Halle Bourque, Macy Moore and Matt Moore and his great great grandchildren, Ollie Prazak, Sydney Prazak, Maggie Prazak and Cora Pemberton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Plaunerie Bourque and Adelle Migues Bourque and his siblings, Audrey B. Delahoussaye, Lillian Bourque, Raymond Bourque, Mary Bourque and Donald Bourque.
