Visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 1:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 5:00PM.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Erath, Ms. Doré passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 1:47 AM at a Lafayette hospital.
Paulette was a graduate of the Class of 1972 from Mount Carmel. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and socializing with friends. As an animal lover she enjoyed raising horses and caring for her dog, Lucky. Ms. Doré also loved working on her lake front property and gardening. She will be forever remembered as a loving woman with a fiery spirit.
She is survived by her Daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Slayton and companion Jacoby Hillman of Leesville; Son, Christopher Roy Elmer and wife Michelle of Duson; Son, Matt Elmer and Fiancée Cathryn Greig of New Iberia; Grandchildren, Lauren Wadsworth, Lane Wadsworth, Caroline Slayton, and Camille Slayton, all of Leesville, Gabrielle Elmer, Hayden Elmer, and Ava Elmer all of Maurice, Alayna Walker of Duson, Adaline Elmer, Sophia Broussard, and Hunter Broussard all of New Iberia; Two Sisters, Sandra "Sandy" Hebert and husband Tony of Erath, and Jackie Doré of Broussard; and one Brother, Buddy Doré and wife Tessie of New Iberia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Adam Doré, Sr. and Irene Doré.
Upholding the honor of Pallbearers are Hayden Elmer, Hunter Broussard, Lane Wadsworth, Todd Hebert, Tony Hebert, and Buddy Doré.
