Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Saturday, January 30, 2016
from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 5:00PM.
A resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Blanchard died on Thursday January 28, 2016 at his
residence.
He was self-employed for over 20 years before his passing.
He was known for his love to hunt, fish, dance, and his genuine love for his children and
family.
He survived by a fiancé, Sheila Latiolais; a daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Blanchard; a son,
Drake Joseph Blanchard; a granddaughter, Malee Daye Myers; a mother Eleanor “Pee Wee” D
Blanchard; his siblings, Chad Blanchard and his wife Beth; two sisters Bridget Huval and
husband David, Michelle Smith and husband Charles Ray Smith. Three stepchildren Chassidy
Bernard, Kyla Latiolais, and Tori Latiolais and 7 step-grandchildren.
He was proceed in death by his father, Merlin “Whitey” Blanchard.
Serving as pallbearers are several of Mr. Steven Blanchard’s closest friends.
