Lafayette- Funeral Services will be held for Lou Ella Verret, 89, on Thursday, February 04, 2016 at 9:30AM at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Fr. Jody Blanchard to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anne.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 03, 2016 at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday, February 04, 2016 from 8:00 AM until service time.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Youngsville, Lou Ella Verret passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Verret loved writing; watching and feeding the birds in her yard, when she was young she helped raise her siblings. She loved caring for the less fortunate.
She is survived by her Daughters Mary Beth V. Campbell, Ivy V. Wyble, Suzanne V. Boudreaux, Son Phillip Verret; Sisters Marie Verret, Millie Filisky, Elmire Jouett, Grandchildren Cyndi Patterson, Tara Guidry, Christy Davidson, Emily Guidry, Brett Hayden, Nicholas Hayden, Chelsie Boudreaux, Logan Boudreaux, Alyssa Verret, Kayla Verret, 6 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Husband Ned Almer Verret, Daughter Hope V. Hayden, Father George Castille, Sr., Mother Elmire Tauzin Castille, Grandson Stuart Campbell, Great Grandson Robert Patterson, Brothers Lee Guy Castille, George Castille, Jr., Raymond Castille, Sr., Ellis Castille, Sr.and Charles Castille Sr., Sisters Eula Mae Courrage, Margaret Thibodeaux, and Lawrence
Girouard.
Upholding the honor of Pallbearers are Brett Hayden, Nicholas Hayden, Logan Boudreaux, Barry Boudreaux, Jim Wyble, Kent Davidson, Jeff Patterson.
