Marjorie "Margie" Landry Lejeune

March 16, 1936 — February 4, 2016

Jeanerette- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Marjorie “Margie” Landry LeJeune, age 79, on Friday February 5, 2016 at 1:00pm at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Kendall Faulk to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Mausoleum.

A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. LeJeune passed away on Thursday February 4, 2016 at 8:16am at her residence. Marjorie enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Many of the grandchildren wore pom pom hats that were made by her loving hands.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gerald LeJeune Sr.; Children, Gerald LeJeune Jr. and wife Shirley, David LeJeune Sr. and wife Laurie, Anna Myers and husband Kurt, Elizabeth Trimble and husband Patrick, Laura Bentley and husband David; 26 grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Barbara Rogers, Margaret Rogers, Janice Muffoletto, Carolyn Daigle, Kay Landry, Mary Bruns, Kathy Leger, Mark Landry, Paul Landry; and several Brothers-in-Law.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Walter "Pete" Landry; Mother, Dorothy Rodrigue Landry; Daughter, Linda Boudoin; Grandson, Elloitt Boudoin; Granddaughter, Emily Marie Mendoza; and one Brother, Walter "Bobe" Landry.

Upholding the honor of Pallbearers will be Mrs. LeJeune’s grandsons, Jacob LeJeune, Phillip LeJeune, David LeJeune Jr., James Myers, Ben Myers, Robert Myers, Adam Trimble, Mannie Joseph Mendoza, Jacques Mendoza, and John Mendoza, Allen Boudoin Jr., Wesley Boudoin, and Cody Boudoin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Jr., David LeJeune, Kurt Myers, Patrick Trimble, and David Bentley.

The family would like to thank Bridgeway Hospice for all the care and compassion given to Mrs. LeJeune.
