Geraldine Lege Borel

Visitation will be on Monday, February 8, 2016, from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
A native of St. Martinville and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Borel passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 5:45 PM in a New Iberia hospital. She was a cashier at Simoneaud’s Grocery Store.
She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, loved her grandchildren and loved her dogs.
She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Romero and her husband Wayne; her sons, Steven Borel and his wife Monica and David Borel and his wife Danette all of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Jeffery Landry, Joey Landry, Wayne “T-Boy” Romero, Jr., Lauren Sonnier, Blake Morein, Brock Morein and Danielle Ball; her great grandchildren, Hunter Ball, Gracie Garcia, Emmy Garcia, Justin Morein, Jase Morein, Alexie Adams, Jase Morein Ridge “R. J.” Delahoussaye and Athena West and her brother, Ron Lege and his wife Vida of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Borel; her parents, Curley and Yolande Perioux Lege and her sister, Melba Viator.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Romero, Jr., Justin Morein, Hunter Ball, Steven Borel, Wayne Romero, Sr., David Borel and Ron Lege.
Honorary pallbearers will be Peyton Lege, Bryan Lege and Jase Morein.
