James Thibodeaux

Erath - A celebration of the life of  James Thibodeaux, 70, will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at David Funeral Home of Erath.  A private interment will be held at a later date.

The celebration will begin on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 3:00PM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM.

A native of Lacassine and a resident of Erath,  James passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his residence.

James was an avid baseball fan, especially for the New York Yankees.  He had a wonderful sense of humor.  James loved to spend time with family and friends.  He was best known for his beautiful smile and his perfect hair.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lavilla Thibodeaux of Erath; sons Roland Thibodeaux and his companion Tamara Louviere of Broussard, and Everett Thibodeaux and his wife Chantel of Erath; daughters Shellie Thibodeaux of Perry, and Aleathea Daigle and her husband David of Youngsville; son-in-law Randy Bouffanie of Erath; sisters Joyce Louviere of Welsh,  and Peggy Thibodeaux of Nunez;  five Grandsons, Tyler Bergeron, Kelby Henry, Jesse Bergeron, Ross Connor, and Huntor Daigle; and four Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters.
