Peter James Ransonet
February 17, 1960 — March 13, 2016
Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 8:00AM until service time.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Lafayette, Mr. Ransonet passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:10 PM at a Lafayette hospital. Mr. Ransonet was a genuine guy with a great personality. Whether it was cooking, dancing, traveling, or socializing with friends, he was always the life of the party. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid fan of LSU football. He will be forever remembered for his comedic ways and for always making people laugh.
Left to cherish his memory is his Son, Luke Ransonet and Fiancee Ashley Romero of New Iberia; Grandchildren, Lexi Ransonet, Brylon Ransonet, both of Erath; step-grandson, Landyn Romero; three Brothers, Earl Ransonet and wife Joyce, Clifford Ransonet and wife Wanita, Anthony Ransonet and wife Marcelle, all of New Iberia; two Sisters, Emily Kyzar and husband James of New Iberia, Carolyn Hart and husband Russell of Mansfield, TX; Mr. Ransonet’s Companion, Debbie Jean Martin Cordy of Lafayette; and numberous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Irvin and Alida Leleux Ransonet; and three Brothers, Harold Ransonet, Gerald Ransonet, and Edward Ransonet.
Upholding the honor of Pallbearers are Luke Ransonet, Shane Ransonet, Clifford Ransonet, Anthony Ransonet, Jarrod Ransonet, Tommy Ransonet Jr.
