Nancy Pearce

New Iberia- A Private Memorial Service will be held for Nancy Pearce, 68, who passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at a local nursing facility.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Nancy had been a Chef and an accomplished writer who had been a writer for the Daily Iberian and several magazines for over 40 years. Nancy was a member of the Mt. Carmel class of 1965.  She will be sadly missed by her best friend and buddy Bean the Cat.

Left to cherish Nancy’s  memory is her son Cecil Pearce of AL,; daughter-in-law, Lynn Pearce and her granddaughter, Allison both of Abbeville, LA; cousins,  Patrica Belanger Ford, New Iberia, Athenna B. Fage,  Gloria Savoy Peltier, New Iberia, Trudy Peltier Romero, New Iberia, Sharon Savoy Romero, Lake Charles, Hilda Belanger Lyons, New Iberia, Becky Robertson of Houma, Robin Ford Romero, New Iberia, Reese Romero, New Iberia, Milton "Bo" Belanger, New Iberia, Cindy Belanger, New Iberia, Phyllis Belanger Mata, New Iberia, John Fage’, Baton Rouge, Michelle Viator, St. Martinville and Marcille Belden, New Iberia and numerous other friends and special thanks to the Mt. Carmel Graduation Class of 1965.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Stephen Pearce, father Antoine “Fatty” Savoy and her mother Hazel Belanger Savoy.
