A native of New Iberia and resident of Coteau, Mrs. Cockerham passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 7:04AM at her residence.
Mrs. Cockerham was a retired Anesthesiologist Technician and enjoyed crafts, going to the casino, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Mardi Gras and she loved to spend it with her family at the parades. She and her husband ran a trucking company for many years. Debbie loved her 18-wheelers and was dubbed as “The Queen”. Riding her 4-wheeler was a favorite of hers and she was a member of the Rebel Riders 4-Wheeler Club.
Whenever there was a fundraiser to be held she would be the first person to be called. She was very good at coordinating and scheduling events. Her outgoing personality and willingness to help anyone and everyone will be missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband
