Shannon Landry Owens

Jeanerette- A Memorial Service will be held for Shannon Owens , age 68, on  Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM  with Father Jody Simoneaux to serve as the Celebrant.  Interment will follow at a later date.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Jeanerette, Shannon Owens passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 2:01 PM at Oschners Hospital in New Orleans, LA.

Shannon loved being in the outdoors and her animals; her horse Lucy and her beloved dog Bella. She loved her family and friends dearly.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years Jimmy Owens, Sr., Jeanerette; her daughter, Kandise Owens her son Jimmy Owens, Jr. and wife Echo of Woodstock, GA; Grandsons, Jimmy Owens, III, Jacob Owens, both of Woodstock, GA,

Shannon is preceded by her father, Freddie Landry, her mother Lou Ann Merceron Fontenot and her daughter, Chantelle Owens.
