Inona C Miley

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church at 130 N. Richelieu Circle, New Iberia, LA, for Inona Colton Miley, 89, who passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 6:40 PM in a Lafayette hospital. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, and a Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM.

Her son, Reverend Mark Hugh Miley, Pastor of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan, LA, will be the Celebrant of the Mass.

Inona was a charter member of the Bayou Art Gallery.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Inona is survived by her sons, Michael Francis Miley and his wife Mary “Beaver” DeBaillon of Lafayette and Rev. Mark Hugh Miley of Kaplan; her grandchildren, Michael C. Miley and his wife Amelia of Metairie, Catherine M. Christi and her husband Mat of Frisco, TX, and Alex R. Miley and his wife Tiffany of Kemp, TX; seven great grandchildren and her brother, Henry Elonza Colton of Atlanta, GA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M. H. Miley; her parents, Francis Elonza Colton and Hattie Woodle Colton and her daughter-in-law, Renee Russo Miley.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kelly Cahill and the staff of Rosewood Retirement Community for the kind and compassionate care given to Inona.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Diocese of Lafayette Seminary Fund.
