Joyce Hebert Labiche Blanchard
November 6, 1927 — May 7, 2016
A native of Jeanerette and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Blanchard retired as a teacher's aide in 1980. She loved being a hostess for parties, loved dancing, cooking and entertaining family and friends. All of her Grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" LeBlanc and husband Greg of Saraland, AL; her son, David LaBiche and wife Sandra of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Joline Rogers of Woodward, OK, Renee Wesley, Kristi Janes and husband Jonathan all of Mobile, AL, Bryan Buteaux and wife Tasha of Saraland, AL, Casey Luzier and husband Mike of Jeanerette and Blake LaBiche of Youngsville; her great-grandchildren, Jacob Champagne and wife Jessica of Sunset, Seth Savoy of Lafayette, Nya Brasseaux and husband Brock of Broussard, Austin Wesley, Arec Wesley, both of Mobile, AL and Gage Floris, of Jeanerette; her great-great-grandchildren, Landen Champagne, Kinzley Champagne both of Sunset, Jorden Janes of Mobile, AL, Sadie Buteaux of Saraland, AL and Maddie Brasseaux of Broussard and her step grandchildren Desiree Vead and husband Denver of Broussard and Codey Thibodeaux of AL; and her friend Claude Simone.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis H. "Pete" LaBiche, and her second husband Lazaire "Jun" Blanchard; her father, Clairfy Hebert; her mother, Medil Dugas Hebert; her sister, Doris Lancon and her brother Warren Hebert, Sr.
A very special thanks is extended to Laurie LeJeune, Becky Irving, Bridgeway Hospice, Dr. Paul Gullotta and Consolata Nursing Home.
