A native of Youngsville and resident of New Iberia, Ms. Eunice LeBlanc passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 8:05PM at her Nephew’s residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Ms. LeBlanc was the epitome of a Fine Southern Lady.  She had grace, charisma, beauty, and style. Her lady like qualities and loving personality earned her many lasting friendships throughout the years.

Ms. Eunice enjoyed traveling. Cruise after cruise, she explored the world with her travelling friends. The world was her oyster and her list of destinations grew.  She visited many states and Caribbean Islands, and even made her way to Spain, Korea, Japan, England, and France just to name a few.

When Ms. Eunice first came to New Iberia in 1934 at the age of 15 Jean and Gerald Patout, owners of the Frederick Hotel, took her under their wing and hired her as the Hostess of the hotel’s restaurant.
Her charming personality quickly gained her recognition all around town.   As she continued her career as a waitress at Wilson’s Seafood and Steakhouse under the ownership of Wilson and Eula Viator and Patout’s Restaurant under the ownership of Alex Patout, her number of friends and acquaintances grew tremendously.

As a god fearing woman and devout Catholic Ms. Eunice attended and was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She was a very spiritual woman, with an infinite amount of wisdom, and she will be missed by many.
