C. Michael Bodin

Jeanerette—Funeral services will be held for Mr. C. Michael Bodin, age 65, on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Jody Simoneax officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre’ Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm, continuing until 8:00 pm. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 8:00 am until the time of service.

Mr. C. Michael Bodin, a lifelong resident of Jeanerette, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10:15 pm at his residence.Michael attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (then University of Southwestern Louisiana) where he earned his Bachelors’ of Arts Degree in Business. He became the owner and operator of a local New Iberia business, Audio Borne, for a number of years. C. Michael had a career with Pennzoil Oil Company as a production operator for 30 plus years.

He was an avid football fan and an enthusiast of his favorite teams; the New Orleans Saints, the Ragin Cajuns and LSU Tigers. Music and film were two of his other passions.  He dedicated much of his time to genealogy and researching the history of his ancestors.


Michael is survived by his son Clifton Andre’ Bodin and his wife Lana of Lafayette; sister, Rory O’Donnell of Jeanerette and his niece, Allison O’Donnell of St. Martinville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clifton Albert Bodin and Rose Elle Derise Bodin and daughter, Yvette Martine Bodin.
