Edward Garcia

Lafayette - Funeral services for Edward "Eddie" Garcia, 66, will be at David Funeral Home on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at 1:00PM with Father William Schambough officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Milton. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home on Tuesday May 24, 2016 from 10:00AM until time of service.

Eddie, a native of Austin, Texas and a resident of Youngsville, passed away Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette. He retired as a Surveyor from the Louisiana Department of Transportation. He was a volunteer Fireman for the City of Youngsville. He enjoyed playing, writing and teaching music. He had a love for animals and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his father, P.G. Garcia, of Youngsville, long time companion, Patricia "Pat" LaRose of Youngsville, his brother, Eugene Garcia and wife Linda of Broussard, his twin brother, Edgar Garcia and wife Brenda also of Broussard, Paul J. Garcia and wife Barbara of Abbeville, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Benith Trahan Garcia; his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Edia Trahan; his paternal grandparents, P.G., Sr. and Victoria Garza Garcia.
