Mary K. Mcguffin

Lafayette  - Mary K. McGuffin born August 27 1921 passed away May 19, 2016. Born in Poteau Oklahoma, Mary K. moved to south Texas in the mid 40’s as a school teacher in the Rio Grande City- Roma area, where she met her husband, D.L. (Red) McGuffin, to whom she was married for 67 years. She and the family moved to McAllen in 1957. Mary K. was a devoted wife and mother. Living in the McAllen area until 2005, when she moved to Broussard La. where she lived until her passing.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Red and son Bobby.

She is survived by one brother, Robert Plumlee of Edmond Ok, two sons Bert and Ben, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mary k passed peacefully in her sleep after living a long and fruitful life and now rests peacefully in God’s hands. She will be loved and missed always.
