Audrie Delahoussaye

New Iberia—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Audrie Hebert Delahoussaye, age 80, on Tuesday, May 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. Nicholas DuPre’ officiating. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Holy Family Cemetery on Curtis Lane in New Iberia.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 8:00 AM until the time of service.

Audrie was born in Nunez, LA and moved to New Iberia at an early age and became a lifelong resident.  She was an active artist and participated in her local bridge club and garden club regularly and was a former member of the Krewe of Andalusia.  She was active in her church, Sacred Heart of Jesus, and often provided meals for the church’s pastor.  She also had a passion for home decorating and cooking which is evidenced by her extensive cookware and cookbook collection.  She worked at various jobs in New Iberia throughout her life including Judge Tilly’s office, Iberia Savings and Loan, Teledyne Movible Offshore, and finally with Van Eaton and Romero Real Estate.

She is survived by her three sons, Ted Delahoussaye and his wife Janet of New Iberia, LA, Phil Delahoussaye and his wife Denise of Broussard, LA, Shelley Delahoussaye and his wife Tabetha of Youngsville, LA, her grandchildren Natalie Delahoussaye Moe and her husband Scott of Allen, TX, Brei Delahoussaye of Baton Rouge, LA, Steven Delahoussaye of New Iberia, LA, Sarina Delahoussaye of Youngsville, LA, Sara Delahoussaye Hagan of Youngsville, LA, by her great grandchildren, Cade Delahoussaye, Claire Moe, Grant Moe, and Lawrence Hagan, and by her brother Dr. J. R. Hebert of Loreauville, LA.

Mrs. Delahoussaye was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland P. Delahoussaye, Jr., daughter Kay Frances Delahoussaye, and her parents, Clyde and Lucille Landry Hebert.
