Bertha Breaux

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Albert Breaux, the former Bertha Dartez, 89, on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Lisa Judice and Suzanne Cox will serve as readers for the funeral mass. Burial will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2, 2015, from 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM and a rosary will be recited at 12:30 PM.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Breaux passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016, at 8:45 AM in Mandeville.

She was employed for more than 30 years at Bell South. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Pioneers. She loved volunteering at St. Francis Diner.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Huval and her husband Jude of Mandeville and her granddaughters, Colette Huval of New Orleans and Abby Claire Huval of Mandeville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Breaux; her father, Anatole Dartez; her mother, Clara Hebert Dartez, her sister, Anna Mae Dartez Judice and her brothers, Neville Dartez, Roy Dartez, Doris Sue Dartez, Joe Dartez, Paul Lloyd Dartez and Johnny Dartez.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Judice, Ross Judice, Ray Dartez, Jimmy Dartez, Steve Chambers and Todd Cox.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN.
