Manilla Leblanc

New Iberia – Graveside services will be conducted for Manilla Laviolette LeBlanc, 76, on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 10:00 AM in St. Michael’s Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM by the Men’s Rosary Group.

A native of St. Martinville and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. LeBlanc passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016, at 3:30 PM upon arrival at a New Iberia hospital.

She was a newspaper carrier at the Daily Iberian for ten years. She loved crocheting, praying her rosary and attending Mass.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence Joseph LeBlanc of New Iberia; her son, Douglas James LeBlanc and his wife Cindy of New Iberia; her daughter, Ann LeBlanc Moore of New Iberia; her sisters, Adelia Hulin of Cypress Island and Margaret Bonin of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Douglas “Tee Doug” LeBlanc, II, Aaiken Dugan Moore, Amanda Bourque, Daniel Bourque, Jr. and Felecia Bourque and her great grandchildren, Madison LeBlanc, Laiken LeBlanc, Jai Thibodeaux, Joselyn Bourque and John Bourque.

She was preceded in death by her father, Selevan Laviolette; her mother, Alicia Blanchard Laviolette; her son, Larry Joseph LeBlanc; her daughter, Florence “Flo” LeBlanc Romero; her sister, Lynn Duplantis; her brother, Joseph Laviolette and her son-in-law, Charles R. Moore.

Pallbearers will be Douglas LeBlanc, Douglas “Tee Doug” LeBlanc, II, Scott LeBlanc, Percy Hoffpauier, Ricky Hulin and Telly Romero.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aaiken Dugan Moore, Vernon Dupuis, Waylon Devillier and Wade Devillier.
