Lynn Meadows

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Lynn Meadows, 69, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 3:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Burial will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Iberia Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

A native of Houston, TX and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Meadows passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 6:09 PM upon arrival at a local hospital.

Born in Houston, TX, Lynn lived most of his life in New Iberia. He served in the U. S. Navy on an Aircraft Carrier for four years. He was the owner of Melyn Industries for ten years and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Viator Meadows of New Iberia; his daughters, Tiffani Kelley and her husband Shawn of Youngsville and Dionne Richard and her husband Steve, Jr. of Maurice; his grandchildren, Jakob Faulk of Foley, AL, Riley Richard and Landon Richard both of Maurice; his step-daughters, Karlene Shelton and her husband David of New Orleans and Kassi Eckert and her husband Neal of Baton Rouge; his step-son, Kerric Viator and his wife Sharon of New Iberia; his step grandchildren, Shaneil Achord and Kay Viator both of New Orleans and his step-great grandchild, Savanna Achord of New Orleans.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Meadows, Sr.; his mother, Mildred Plummer Meadows; his brother, Raymond Meadows, Jr.; his step-mother, Emma Comeaux Meadows and his step-grandson, Taylor Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Larry Degeyter, Jeff Prados, David Shelton, Kerric Viator, George Viator and Neal Eckert.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jakob Faulk and Landon Richard.
