Verly Menard Guilbeaux

Erath--A Mass of Christian Burial for Verly Menard Guilbeaux, age 76, will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 3:00PM at David Funeral Home of Erath  with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Monday, June 20, 2016 beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of service with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00 AM.

A native of and lifelong resident of Erath, Verly died at 11:05 AM on Friday, June 17, 2016 at her residence.

Verly was very devoted to her family. She loved spending time with her best friend and sister Flo and their special times together was their trips to the casino. She loved cooking for family dinners and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a beautician by trade and a manager for Bill's Dollar Store for many years.

Family would like to offer a very special thanks to the following people; Dr. Esmond Barker, Dr. Shameem Akhtar,Dr. Jason Breaux, Dr. Joseph Brierre, Jeannine Lafrance, CNP., Nursing specialist, Katie and Beth, All of Our Lady of Lourdes fifth floor oncology unit nurses. A very special thanks to Robin Broussard with Hospice of Acadiana. The family would also like to offer a very special and heartfelt thanks to Verly's godchild, Tammy Comeaux and her granddaughter Amanda Melacon for their kindness and devotion.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years Alvin Guilbeaux of Erath; sons, Troy Guilbeaux and wife Genee of Delcambre and Darrell "Keith" Bourque and companion Lacie Colley of Abbeville; Step-sons; Scott Clostio and wife Jackie of Erath, Trent Clostio and wife Kay of Abbeville and Eric Clostio and wife Dawn of Abbeville; grandchildren; Amanda Melancon and husband Chad, Samantha Colden and husband Ken, Sydney Bourque, Braxton Bourque, Mary Claire Guilbeaux, Molly Guilbeaux, Maggie Guilbeaux; sister, Flo Trahan; sister-in-law; Elaine Guidry, Betty Guilbeaux; brother-in-law; Mike Guilbeaux and eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Verly is preceded in death by her parents, Reynard and Loris Bienvenu Menard; son, Bryan Bourque; sister, Brenda Romero; brother-in-laws; Johnny Romero, Chester Trahan, Floyd Guidry and niece Michelle Romero.

Serving as Pallbearers are Troy Guilbeaux, Darrell "Keith" Bourque, John Romero, Tra Broussard, Josh Landry and Chad Melancon.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Braxton Bourque, Austin Hebert and Mason Hebert.
