Jeanerette- A Memorial Service will be held for Victoria Leigh Eldridge , 24, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at  10:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel in Jeanerette.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Jeanerette, Victoria Leigh Eldridge passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 3:30 PM at a her residence in Jeanerette surrounded by family.

In her short 24 years of life, Victoria fought a long hard 10 year battle against Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. She was an inspiration to so many. No matter what she faced, she always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She touched many hearts with her infectious smile and amazing attitude toward the battle she was fighting. She was a longtime patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and she hoped that even if she wasn't cured through her many experimental treatments that it would someday help others who were fighting the same disease as her.  She was one of a kind and will forever be missed by all who were blessed to meet her.

She is survived by her mother, Lori Landry of Jeanerette; father, Duane Eldridge, of Jeanerette; husband Sam Adams of Jeanerette; brother, Kaeden Olivier of Jeanerette; sister, Breigh Eldridge of New Iberia; grandfather, Kenneth Keith Landry, Sr., Jeanerette; paternal grandmother, Jo Ann Eldridge, Youngsville; grandfather, Richard "Dickie" Eldridge, Jeanerette; great grandmother; Beatrice Eldridge; step-father; Jory Vernon of Jeanerette; uncle, Keith Landry & Angela "Buffy", Franklin; aunt, Erin Eldridge and companion  David Falterman, Jeanerette; cousins, Brittany Landry, Corey Landry, Ashley Eldridge Jones, Landon Jones; and a long list of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by grandmother, Carmelite "Connie" Fitch Landry; great grandmother, Lena Armentor Fitch; great grandfather, Walter Fitch; great grandmother; Kathleen Rodriguez Landry; great grandfather, Ernest George “E.G” Landry, great grandmother, Margaret Lara Kilpatrick, great grandfather, James Madison Kilpatrick; great grandfather Percy Eldridge; aunt, Kathleen Landry and her beloved pet german shepard Piper "Poo".

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Victoria's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
