Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial for Ms. Dottie Bergeron Olivier, 55, will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, LA. with Fr. Michael Delcambre officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary and eulogy at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.

A native of Arnaudville and a resident of Lafayette, Ms. Dottie died at 3:05PM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She was a beloved mother who was known for the value she placed on family, both immediate and extended. All who knew her knew she lived for her children. She was also employed at Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department for the last 11 years.

She is survived by a son, Travis “T.J.” Olivier of Lafayette; two daughters, Hanna L. Olivier of Lafayette and Heidi R. Olivier of Lafayette; a brother, Bobby Bergeron, Sr. of Arnaudville; three sisters, Donna Soignier of Breaux Bridge, Liz Richard of Broussard, and Pat Mouille of Broussard; two nieces, Cassie Soignier and Frannie Hoffman; six nephews, Bobby Bergeron, Jr., Garrett Bergeron, Derek Bergeron, Jake Richard, Clint Richard, and Zack Mouille; four great nieces and nephews; two grand pups, and the father of her children, Jeff Olivier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Augustine Richard Bergeron

Serving as pallbearers will be Travis “T.J.” Olivier, Bobby Bergeron, Sr., Bobby Bergeron, Jr., Garrett Bergeron, Derek Bergeron, and Clint Richard.

Serving as honorary Pallbearers will be Zack Mouille and Jake Richard.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the American Liver Foundation at 39 Broadway Blvd, suite 2700 New York, New York 10006.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337) 837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
