Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial for Amy Trahan Romero, 92, will be 2:00PM Thursday September 8, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard with Father Michael Delcambre officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. Visitation will be Wednesday September 7, 2016 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette from 3:00PM until 9:00PM and will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time with recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

Amy, a resident of Broussard for over 50 years passed away Sunday September 4, 2016 in a Sulphur Care Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and she loved gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Susie Rodrigue and husband Joseph of Dulac, Gloria Foreman of Rayne, Joan Benoit of Baton Rouge, JoAnn Fontenot and husband Herbert of DeQuincy; a son, Jessie Benoit of Ohio and Gerald Trahan of New Iberia; a sister, Thelma Romero of New Iberia; a brother, Clarence Trahan of Austin, TX. She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husbands Henry Romero and John Benoit; her parents, Delphi and Sylvia Romero Trahan; a son, Raymond Turner; sisters, Lula Mae Trahan Peltier and Florence Trahan LeBlanc; brothers, Rene Trahan and Wilson Trahan.
