Lafayette – A celebration of the life of Howard Gautreaux Sr., 81, will be held at a
later date.

Mr. Gautreaux passed away Sunday September 4, 2016 at his residence in Lafayette.
Survivors include his children June Gautreaux, Patricia Gautreaux, Robert Gautreaux,
Howard Gautreaux Jr. Lydia Gautreaux, and Norma Christensen; his brothers Phillip
Gautreaux, Clifton Gautreaux, and Gustave “Gus” Menard. He is also survived by fifteen
grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Howard was preceded in death by his daughter Peggy G. Jackquet; his first wife Marella
Babineaux Gautreaux; his second wife Eve Bourque Gautreaux; his parents Lenis and Helen
Fabacher Gautreaux; one sister Bertha Simon; and two brothers Robert and Gerald Gautreaux.
David Funeral Home 316 Youngsville is in charge of arrangements.
