Bertha C. Hulin

New Iberia—Funeral services will be held for Bertha Chastant Hulin, age 81, on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 10:30 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia.

Visitation will begin at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Friday, September 9, 2016, at 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 8:00 AM until the time of service.

Bertha Hulin passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at 8:00 AM at her residence in New Iberia.

Bertha enjoyed going to the casino, watching movies, listening to music and especially being with family and friends.

She is survived by her brother; Claude Chastant, son-in-law; Ricky Champagne, grandsons; Brody and Austin Champagne, great grandchild Brantley Champagne and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Wilfred Hulin, parents Evaulutre and Lucy Braquet Chastant, daughter; Deyne Champagne and brother; J.B. Chastant.

Serving as pallbearers at Austin Champagne, Brody Champagne, Henry Chastant, Randy Chastant, Vince Dorsey, Jason Chastant, Ricky Champagne and Gregory Chastant.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Joe Judice and Jessie Viator.

The family of Bertha Hulin would like to offer special thanks to Christine Thibodeaux, Nancy Mayeaux, staff and the residences of Azalea Estates Community.
