Lillie Duhon Landry

Erath – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lillie Duhon Landry, 96, will be held at 1:30PM on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  The Interment will follow at Migues Cemetery in Delcambre.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM.  Visitation will resume on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.

A native and resident of Erath, Mrs. Landry died at 4:28PM on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Abbeville General Hospital.  She was a devout catholic who faithfully prayed the rosary.

She is survived by a son, Leroy J. Landry and his wife Mae of New Iberia; a daughter, Fayda Maturin of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Troy Maturin and his wife Kimberly, Carmen Landry, and Natalie Landry; and three great grandchildren, Chloe Maturin, Caroline Ferrier, and Sara Ferrier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleus Landry; her parents, Desire and Oliver Richard Duhon; three brothers, Fernand Duhon, Otis Duhon, and Essay Duhon; and a sister, Agnes D. Hulo.

Serving as pallbearers will be Troy Maturin, John Dale Duhon, Curley Dartez, R. Duhon, and Michael Lejeune.

The readings will be by Kimberly Maturin.


The family would like to extend a special thanks to Maison du Monde Living Center for the care they gave Mrs. Landry.
