Laurence Broussard Romero

Youngsville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Laurence Broussard Romero will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Richard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 8:00AM until time of services.

A native and lifelong resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Romero died at 9:58AM on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She had many enjoyments in her lifetime, like taking care of her Chihuahua, going to the casino to play slots; working in her yard with her flowers; praying the rosary everyday; and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorena R. Meche and her husband Alvin of Church Point; two brothers, Elton Broussard of Youngsville and Lawless Broussard of Maurice; two sisters, Helen Hebert of Scott and Velma Broussard of Youngsville; two grandchildren, Donna Vice and Lisa Martin; nine great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Romero; her parents, Joseph “Joe” and Valerie Trahan Broussard; six brothers, Dennis Broussard, Antione Broussard, Eugene Broussard, Adam Broussard, Wilfred Broussard, and Roy Broussard; six sisters, Leonie Vicknair, Noemie Dartez, Benite Vincent, Nolia Broussard, Inez Duhon, and Eugenia Jambon; and a grandchild, Patty Boudreaux, and a great grandchild, Colby Vice.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Vice, Lee Martin, Jr., Corey Vice, Everett Alleman. Jason Smith, and Marcus Lopez.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cody Vice, Kaleb Vice, Robert Boudreaux, and Alvin Meche.
