Laurent "Lj" Braquet Jr.

Loreauville ~ Visitation for Mr. Laurent “LJ” Braquet, Jr, age 88, who died Thursday October 20, 2016 at 12:45 PM in Port Allen, LA will be held on Saturday October 22, 2016 beginning at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at David Funeral Home of Loreauville.  A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 1:00 PM.  A private interment ceremony will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Church mausoleum.

Mr. Braquet lived his life to the fullest and his absence will be sadly noticed.  After honorably serving his country for twenty years and retiring from the United States Air Force and surviving two wars, he then worked for the Iberia Parish School Board for twenty years.

Mr. Braquet was preceded in death by his wife, the former Miss Verna M. Sonnier; his father Mr. Laurent Braquet, Sr. and his mother, the former Miss Stella M. Barras.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Mr. Laurent “J” Braquet III of Loreauville; Mr. Craig Braquet of California and his sister Mrs. Jeanette Thibodaux.
